Please note that Pizza Number 1 is located in the basement of the building and uses the second address.

If you're taking a taxi, simply tell the driver to go to Pizza Number 1 in Vágsbotnur and they will know where to go.

When traveling in the Faroe Islands, we recommend using Google Maps for accurate directions whether you're driving, walking, or taking public transportation.

AIRPORT

There are three transportation options available from Vágar Airport to the apartment:

Rent a car: Renting a car is an excellent option if you plan on exploring the Faroe Islands. It's recommended to book in advance, especially during the summer months when demand is high. You can find a list of car rental companies on the Visit Faroe Islands website.

Once you've rented your car, your destination is Skálatrøð, the free public parking spot next to the apartment. Use Google Maps to navigate to the parking spot: https://goo.gl/maps/HvtViKMcwY...

Remember to set your parking clock upon arrival (see instructions below). From the parking spot, it's just a short 2-minute walk to our apartment.

Taxi shuttle: If you prefer not to rent a car, a taxi shuttle is a convenient option. Shared taxis are available from the airport, and you will be sharing the ride with other passengers. It is a more cost-effective option compared to a private taxi. To book a taxi shuttle, you need to reserve a seat before you arrive at the airport. The shuttle will take you directly to the apartment, but it might make multiple stops before reaching your destination. There are two reliable taxi companies that offer shuttle services:

You also have the option of booking a private taxi or minibus through these companies.

Bus: The cheapest option is taking the bus to Tórshavn. It's typically synchronized with the arrival time of the airplane. The bus will take you to the bus terminal in Tórshavn which is the last stop. You can see the bus timetable here:

SMYRIL LINE / NORRØNA (SHIP)

If you arrive by ferry to the Faroe Islands, you're almost at your destination.

By foot: It's just a 5-minute walk to the apartment. Set Google Maps to the apartment's address.

PARKING

There are several free parking spots available around the apartment, with the largest being Skálatrøð. This parking area allows for 8 hours of free parking between 9am and 6pm, and there are no time limits outside of these hours. However, it is important to remember to set your parking clock to 9pm in the evening after 6pm, so that you can take advantage of the 8-hour free parking period starting at 9am the next morning. This gives you the flexibility to sleep in or enjoy a leisurely breakfast without having to worry about moving your car.
